Cleaning Contractor Agreement

1. Engagement

1.1 The Company hereby engages the Contractor as an independent, self-employed cleaner to provide cleaning services to the Company’s clients.


1.2 The Contractor agrees to perform the services described in the job briefing sheets provided and to the standard outlined on any emails or messages and in accordance with the terms and conditions set out in this Agreement.


2. Contractor Status

2.1 The Contractor is an independent contractor and not an employee of the Company. The Contractor shall be responsible for their own taxes, and any other obligations associated with self-employment.


2.2 The Contractor shall not be entitled to any employee benefits, including but not limited to health insurance, paid holidays, or pension contributions.


3. Services

3.1 The Contractor agrees to provide cleaning services to the Company’s clients as directed by the Company.


3.2 The Contractor shall perform the Services with a high level of attention to detail, professionalism, and care.


3.3 The Contractor agrees to take all necessary precautions to avoid damaging or breaking any items in the client's home.


3.4 The Contractor agrees not to steal, remove, or otherwise take any items from the client’s home without the explicit permission of the client.


4. Payment

4.1 The Company shall pay the Contractor at a rate of £14.00 per hour for the Services provided.


4.2 Payment shall be made weekly by bank transfer, following submission of an invoice email by the Contractor.


5. Information Sharing with Clients

5.1 The Contractor agrees that the Company may share the Contractor’s relevant contact information (e.g., name, phone number, email address) with the Company’s clients when booking the Contractor for a cleaning job.


5.2 The purpose of sharing this information is to facilitate communication and coordination between the Contractor and the client regarding the Services to be provided.

6. Non-Solicitation

6.1 The Contractor agrees that during the term of this Agreement and for a period of 12 months following the termination of this Agreement, the Contractor shall not, directly or indirectly, solicit, engage, or contract with any of the Company’s clients for the provision of cleaning services, other than through the Company.


6.2 If a client of the Company approaches the Contractor to work with them privately, the Contractor must immediately inform the Company.


6.3 In the event of a breach of this clause, the Contractor agrees to pay the Company liquidated damages equal to 6 months of the income lost from the customer to compensate for the loss of business.


7. Confidentiality

7.1 The Contractor agrees to keep all information related to the Company’s business, including client details, pricing, and business practices, strictly confidential.


7.2 The Contractor shall not disclose any confidential information to any third party without the prior written consent of the Company.


8. Term and Termination

8.1 This Agreement shall commence on the date this is signed and continue until terminated by either party with 30 days written notice.


8.2 The Company may terminate this Agreement immediately if the Contractor breaches any term of this Agreement.


9. Liability and Insurance

9.1 The Company shall obtain and maintain appropriate insurance coverage for the Contractor’s activities under this Agreement.


9.2 The Contractor shall take all reasonable care to avoid causing damage to the client’s property or belongings during the provision of the Services.


9.3 The Contractor agrees to report any damage or breakages to the Company immediately.


9.4 The Contractor agrees not to steal, remove, or otherwise take any items from the client’s home. Any breach of this clause will result in immediate termination of this Agreement and may result in legal action.


9.5 The Contractor shall indemnify and hold the Company harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses arising out of the Contractor’s performance of the Services, except where covered by the Company’s insurance.


10. Governing Law

10.1 This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.


11. Entire Agreement

11.1 This Agreement constitutes the entire agreement between the Parties and supersedes all prior agreements, representations, and understandings.


12. Amendments

12.1 This Agreement may only be amended in writing signed by both Parties.
